Is there snow at Snoqualmie Pass?

I don't mean the ski areas, I mean the pass itself.  The webcams on the wsdot website make it look pretty grim.

I ask because my 3 year old niece is coming to visit from Texas next week and she's never seen snow, and we wanted to drive up there just to play in the snow.  I've been doing all my skiing at Stevens this winter and on the drive up there, there's almost no snow at 3k feet, so I wasn't sure if there was enough at Snoqualmie to be worth the drive.  Going up to Stevens instead won't work because my 6 month old niece will be tagging along, and that round trip drive is beyond her limits.

So anyone who's been up to Snoqualmie lately, is there enough snow around the base area to make it worth the drive up?

Here's what Alpental looks like. If the lifts are running you know there's gonna be snow around them.

Yeah, i guess Alpental you still climb a little bit after you leave the highway, and this year every foot of elevation helps.  Looks like going up to Alpental and just playing around at the base area might work out ok.

I live at Hyak and there is snow.   Along the road it melts quicker, but all the slopes are still open.   It has been snowing the past few days, just a few inches but enough to make it look more like winter.

There's a solid rumor that Ullr is returning home. Big cycle the next few days to a week. Snoqualmie Pass *may* be on the rain side of the equation on a few of the spikes... Current expectation is that the pass effect will keep it snow at Stevens.

I think your foray may be highly weather cycle dependent.

Just heard coming home from skiing locally it was snowing over Snoqualmie Pass. Don't count the NW out yet ,east or west.

Not only is there snow up there, there is a tubing park too.  Gere is your chance to become this girls favorite uncle.
