I'm looking for GS skis for local district racing, and I've thought about the characteristics I want.
I want a ski with a shorter than FIS radius, I want it to prefer edge lock, but most important to me is that it runs through ruts and bumps quiet and unaffected.

When I was snowboarding I had a board once that could run straight through the afternoon bumps unaffected, but the only special thing about it I think was that it was very stiff along the length (longitudinal).
Is it the same when it comes to skis?

How does it affect the other two criteria? IE ease of edge locking and fast turn in?
