It looks like the its the big one Elizabeth! I'm coming to join ya!

Alta is reporting 19" of new snow with another 6-8" on the way? Isn't that like 2' in less than 24 hours?  All you locals and traveling folks who hit it right please post pics.

I'm out there a week from now. Someone leave just a little stash for me somewhere so I can crash in waist deep powder and wallow in the snow like when I was a kid. I may not ski powder like a pro but I love to fall in it!!!!

Enjoy everyone out there!

!7" at the Park City resorts and a bluebird day.  I seperated my shoulder a couple weeks ago (1st degree) pretending I was Bode Vonn. I think an underarmor compression shirt and some "pole plant" physical therapy should work...  Gotta go....

Alas, I had a good time with blue bird days when I was there..........but still......

As good as it is when I ski at Alta, there is always a followup week/storm/etc that makes me yearn again.  I can leave feeling like a million bucks, but it only lasts as long as the current weather cycle.

Hey, Mr. Crab!

You should be skiing the trees in your backyard!

Too low angle. When we had that giant snow year a couple winters ago, we did poach lines all through the yards of the big houses up at Deer Valley. It was sweet. There's no one ever actually in those houses... Today was great- a good start to March. The Cottonwoods are going to be the best call in the next little while...

Yeah. I have one of those locals coupon books for Deer Valley in addition to my pass at Snowbird. Everytime I go to Deer Valley it is amazing to me that all of those houses sit empty!

I don't want to hear about it!  None of you came out to play with me and my pals last week, and I'm thinking about holding a grudge...

Today was great at Alta though a bit of the mountain never opened, so there will be some new lines with fresh snow for tomorrow. Bigger crowd than I've seen on a Friday this year and the snow was heavy so it got cut up fairly quickly. That said, there were spots with powder over my knees and face shots to be had all over the mountain. More to come on Sunday.

Never got the memo....on the injured list anyway. Finally busted out today after three weeks and crashed right on the separated shoulder on like, the third turn. Finished up the day anyway and took a percocet- that worked!

Judging by Vince's chart, there will be staggered openings over the next few days as the snow settles at Alta... then looking at the forecast, next week will have more snow. TC, you'll simply have to come right back....
