Pre purchase Q. UHMW vs Grapite based bases for short term rock ski grab.

Get outta my hair okay.

My harmless question here is most definitely on topic.

The best of you guys have likely serviced the Heads featuring the UHM vs Graphite based bottoms.

In '07 I got schnookered in April when the shop guys knew my Volkl P60's weren't handling the heavy corn so well.

Now I find these well repaired demo Stockis were flattened into uncertain dampness by some yahoo on steroids whose yard sale caliber goggles restricted him of any sense of where New England granite outcroppings happened to be located.

Two seasons later the Stockli they pawned off onto my naive butt at the Sugarloaf complex came up as a core shot fest. Expertly repaired, the flawless bottom base belied how radically these boards got beat on, structurally.

These 174cm Stockli's were naturally the foxiest demo ski in the house in 05 and I got stuck with retiring the danged martyrs on future fields of slush and corn.

So I know I got a strong dose of caveat emptor.

Love the Stockli feel but just wanna buy a good shorter very short (Sub 170cm) stable unused brand new rock ski that'll be of the old school narrow waist stability on double diamond pitches, and not be unmanageable between today's more tightly arrayed moguls.

Head vs all length mfg offerings between 162-168cm with waists narrower than 81mm welcome.

Please see our convenient suggestion box on your lazy assed way out of our royal church of proper descent.

Wow....are you a columnist?   I had to read that twice to figure out what you were getting at and I am still not 100% sure.

Yep.

It was kind of an awesome little thrill ride on both reads, though.
