And you need to know how fast you went, exactly why?   And the last thing I need in my goggles is a caller ID...  If those guys could think about some kind of augmented reality display, that may, just may, be useful.  But of course I never understood the utility of those iPhone apps tracking your vertical.  Do you care? I don't ski to run up vertical feet, I ski to have fun and push myself, and I don't need a freaking GPS goggle to help me in that....

Oh, you haven't skied with me, LOL.  I get lost constantly on the ski hill.  I ski down, say "What lift is this?" and realize that I'm yet again in the wrong spot and have to find the way to where I'm supposed to be meeting up with my friends.  It's all fine if I'm skiing alone.  I wonder if they will program in the North American ski hills (which you can get on a gps) so I can actually find my way around.  It has been suggested to me numerous times that I should maybe carry a GPS at the ski hill.  Wonder if they can program in the golf courses at the same time and make it dual purpose.......

Maybe this makes some sense for snowmobiling, but skiing. The last thing we need is people with more distractions.

that's pretty cool but it was unclear whether the lenses are liquid crystal and change based on lighting conditions.  To have all the frills and not actual be able to ski would be kinda silly...but only kinda silly...

You can get ski maps on an iPhone, and I bet some apps are GPS-enabled nowadays.  I just don't get the use of a little display showing you your speed right inside your goggle...  I guess if you are used to driving with your GPS on the dash, that would be a familiar experience.  I sort of get it is you are skiing backcountry or a big mountain and want to "look ahead"; however, no GPS would let you see the snow coverage, conditions, etc, and that's what matters.  The last thing i want is to have skiers look at their GPS while actually charging down the trail, "ski by wire" is a bad idea... I am sure this device will sell very well.

BTW, you want to ski with a GPS device, and you get lost all the time, but you ski without a helmet?

"so I don't know who invented the helicopter, even though i own one..."
"i'm only human...but I'm working on that..."

A gun sight camera would be nice to go with the HUD display to record the kill. Collision is imminent with this thing.

This looks like a major distraction.  It could be kinda cool, but I'm not sure.
