Jackson Hole kid stoke video - 2/16/10

This past Tuesday, I spent the morning skiing with the 14-year-old son of some friends.  Since his parents live far away, he doesn't get to ski very much but he absolutely loves it and goes for it every time he's here.  He loves to hit little jumps and is working his way up.  He is totally into skiing.

We had a mixed morning where it was relatively good visibility up high but absolutely TERRIBLE fog in the middle of the mountain.

I had fun because HE was having so much fun.  Here's the video:

Great stuff Bob, you are a true ambassador to the sport. Why didn't you go for that last kicker in the park? Great thing about skiing with young people with legs and lungs is they give you a work out. He looked like he really is into all aspects of the mountain from steeps to trees to park. Nice rock drop for both of you. I usually  have the Kenny Loggins tune from Top Gun playing in my head while skiing, Footloose is another good one.

Looks fun!  I like the way his turns improved after his first bobble in the NASTAR course, as he really got the rhythm & began linking turns... funny how the gates do that.

I wonder what it would look like to put the cam on an 8 year old finding his way thru some tight trees.

Heh.

My lame excuse is that I'm MORE than 4x his age.
