Live video feed from CTV at
http://www.ctvolympics.ca/alpine-skiing/results-and-schedules/event=ASW010000/phase=ASW010101/index.html

Not sure if it's blocked in the U.S.A. or not.

Nope can't access it here.  nbc is not showing it and can't access via CTV.

Wow, I feel so proud and free...NOT.

yup this confirms what we already know, NBC bought the olympics in order to not show them and if you are in the U.S. there is no other way to watch unless through their medium and they are hoarding the events they want to show during prime time.  So by the time I get to watch it live winners would already be known.

Here's another option that seems to be working in the U.S.  Use Stream 3.

I don't think so.  Works for me.  Try this link, it goes straight to Stream 3 http://www.stream2watch.com/watch/6961/3/

You might get a message that the server is overloaded or no nodes are available, but if you wait it will hook up in about 30 secs.

Any guesses how many WDH runs they air? My guess is 4 more than the men, we'll see about 10.

Sorry for spoiling this with results, this is all we got in the US for anything even close to live. I'm still gonna be glued to the TV when NBC decides to air what little they decide.

exracer, again, many thanks for providing yet another link but me thinks my company's firewall is preventing access or something...oh well.

Oh no!!!!   Anja Paerson was looking like she was going to medal but was off balance on the final bump and flew about 100 meters and slid a couple hundred more through the finish.  She's lucky she's not seriously hurt.

Yeah.

I edited the thread title to hopefully let people know that this thread has results in it.

I did the same for the other one.

Yeah, the crashes today have been epic!

Then again, so has the racing.  The women never trained this course in these conditions: with decent snow, top to bottom.  It's running fast, and some of the racers weren't bargaining on such speed.

Anja is one of the ones who didn't.  The BBC's replays showed around 60 meters of linear distance - over 180 feet!  I hope the damage isn't bad, but it looks like her knees didn't fare well.

YEEE_HAA!!  Sweet. Thanks, F' NBC!

I was off by 2, NBC show a WHOLE 8 racers! Well 8.1 if you count the fall out of the start, a complete f__king joke.
Kudos to NBC (for real) on the split image work with Vonn and Mancuso, that was trick.  Fascinating to see the line difference.

You folks do realize we could have seen some more qualifying heats for women's speed skating if they had not wasted so much time with the skiing tonight (not for real).

American women, you are awsome!
Lindsey rocks. she skied some of that run on one ski, it was like, c'mon leg, we'll get you down this. amazing.

those girls to take very big hits. racers should do the blow by blow of what we saw, but it was once true that a racer crashing on the finish schuss is getting tired, legs burning, hanging on. Anja got compressed and no pre jump. oh, man.

The spoiler feature works nice for that

They pay all of their "talking heads" so much they have to spend most of the time showing them talk to each other

ANOTHER GOLD MEDAL FOR BUCK HILL!!

Vertical?  Who needs vertical?
With 37 competitors in the field, I wish NBC would do something like this:
While I love hockey, instead of showing Latvia vs Czech for 2+ hours on CNBC after midnight - replay the ENTIRE women's downhill competition

NBC is taking the most popular events, like downhill, and butchering them in order to show them on primetime.  It's nice being able to see the events rather than missing them while at work, but they need to do a better job for those of us with DVRs or whatever who CAN see the entire events.
