Looking for big city, near to good skiing and good scuba

I'm considering relocating in the medium-term.  I'd like to live within daytrip distance of both good skiing and good scuba diving.

I'm thinking about Milan, since it is close enough to Genoa and also the Alps.  Does anyone have any additional recommendations?

Thanks!

Seattle.  Skiing as close as 45 minutes away and SCUBA in the city as well as up and down the Puget Sound.  I'm not a diver, but my friends that are say that the diving here is some of the best anywhere.  The skiing is anywhere from solid to spectacular.

Can't you ski down one of the volcanos in Hawaii????

Just about anywhere in Southern California would qualify.  But skiing in the SoCal mountains is less than stellar and SCUBA requires a 7mm wetsuit.

I live in San Diego and have done both locally, but I prefer to fly to warmer water for SCUBA and bigger mountains for skiing.  Living in San Diego is the bigger draw for me!

Thanks, all - I appreciate the suggestions!

I was surprised to see scuba divers in a reservoir in Banff, Alberta (not a big city).  They were exploring remains of an old town that was submerged by the reservoir.

If NA works, how about Seattle?  Puget Sound has good diving, and ski areas 1 hour up the interstate.  Yes, you want a wet suit but lots of stuff down there.

Yeah, NA works.  Here's my plan:  I'm in the US now (and always have been), but would like to live abroad for a couple years once my wife finishes her PhD, and then more than likely return to the the US or maybe Canada.  So I mentioned Milan because I was thinking that the living abroad thing could coincide with the living near skiing and scuba thing.  But I'd also be totally fine with the s+s location being for after we return to this side of the world.  Or better yet, both :)

Anchorage or Vancouver.   Just better have a warm suit.

My preference is freediving and I like it WARM.   Abaco's in the Bahamas are really nice.
