What to put on an ID ONE mogul ski???

hello everybody! this will be my first thread so i'm hoping you can help me.
So I'm going to purchase a pair of thes ID ONE bump skis soon and I asked the guy at the shop I'll be buying them from and he said he could put bindings on them. He reccomended the Tyrolia Peak 15. Currently I have a pair of Rossignol Scratch mogul skis from 06-07 with the rossi FKS bindings on them. I have never had a problem with this binding in bumps and I'm thinking of getting the same binding again. What do you think? does the tyrolia peak 15 compare to the FKS?

thanks!!

Get the FKS or the new Look Pivots.

FKS or some look variation turntable. I did notice quite a few skiers in the Mens Moguls using Jesters.

Yes, the Tyrolia Peak 15 is a really good binding (The Gold in Men's moguls was just won on it)... but the FKS is a 'special' binding. There is nothing else out there that comes close in retention, it just does not pre-release and the mounting foot print is tiny so the ski flexes more naturally.

If money is no issue then jet the new FKS, if you want to save a few bucks and have a binding with 'cleaner' release get the Peak 15.

So for mogul skis the Tyrolia bindings are fine then??? They will suit me good?

I too just got a pair of ID ONE mogul skis and am deciding what bindings to put on them.  Reading about the Rossignol FKS, I hear it had 25 mm of "travel" on the back binding.  I think this means the binding or boot is allowed some movement before release.  In the bumps I want instant ski response.  Will the "travel" affect ski response in the bumps?

No. If you get release, ski response will range from poor to non existent. Keep the DINs tight and tips pointed down as to avoid such a situation.

I'm having trouble finding an FKS, Tyrolia Peak 15 or other bindings with a narrower brake to fit my new ID One Mogul....I was told the max is 80 mm.  Any suggestions on how to find that size or narrower brake? Binding suggestion?

I just ordered the FKS 140 from getboards.com (http://www.getboards.com/snow/bindings/rossignol10/FKS_140.html) with the narrow brake.  It's the lowest price I've seen on the 140 and there's no sales tax and free shipping.

evogear also has the FKS 140, but I called and they weren't able to find one with the smaller brake.  The brakes are removable, though I don't know where you'd purchase just the brake component.
