So my girlfriend and i want to plan a trip to Sunday River. 1 night and 2 days of skiing. Has anyone ever tried to save some money by geting the Ski and stay package for one person but sneaking the guest in after you check in? Would that guest beable to enjoy the ameneties they offer too?I was hoping i could do this because the rate for Jordan Grand hotel is $125/pp. Let me know please. Thanks!!

oh btw, we're planning to go on March 4th.

If your girlfriend is not going to ski, you would be charged less for her for lodging only. It's something like $25 off the ski & stay package rate .

It might be cheaper and you can rest easier if you simply get the lodging only rate and buy your lift ticket online.

The ski and stay per person rate is generally designed for skiers.  Give them a call and try to work something out.  They will work with you.

Good luck.

thanks guys

Has anyone tried that trick though?

I would expect the pp/pn rate to be based on double-occupancy.

I stayed one night at Sunday River a year or 2 ago. The front desk was right around the corner from my room and so was the hot tub.

Play by the rules and you get better ski conditions.

Ya i think i going to play by the rules. Going with the package. $288 for 2 lift tickets and 1 night stay. I have 2 vouchers too so thats 2 days of skiing. Didn't make reservations yet because i want to make sure its not raining first. How often does it rain in Maine?

On average I would say it rains maybe 3 times between Dec. 1 and March 15. It would be rare that it rain during your stay though, a remote chance is not out of the question. Temps in the mountains have been upper 20's to low 30's.

This year we have had 1 rain event and the mountains have recovered very well. That said, we need some fresh snow. Possible in-coming early next week.

Plan on groomer heaven, fast, fast, fast.
