100% correct, my main 'Beef' with NBC isn't so much the figure skating coverage, but the inability or lack of live coverage.
I can see the NBC Prime-Time sum-up show with some athlete bios, but I sat through 6 months of hype about 4 networks [NBC, MSNBC, CNBC & USA] carrying Vancouver 2010, only to be disappointed.
I guess I was just assuming the 4 channels would actually televise the events live, each showing a different event simultaneously. Then having the Prime-Time show for all the little kids to sit with their parents around the T.V. and watch Figure-Skating/Snowboarding with some highlights of other events.
BTW, there is
an advantage to hitting a tree: I now get to lay on the couch & enjoy watching Curling - though it does hurt when I sneeze!
