- On my weak leg I tend to skid after entering the turn, this might be from not edging properly or my second problem which is throwing my shoulders from side to side instead of having them face the fall line.
- I tend to drop my inside pole after the plant.
- I have inconsistent ski separation, I go from narrow, to wide in the middle of the turn, then really wide as I transition and then repeat
- I tend to A-frame slightly coming out of my weak (left leg downhill) turns.
Those aren't my only ones, but I want to address a few at a time, so here's the sequence I got from a choppy helmet cam from a friend:
Showing problem 3:
Showing problem 1,2,4:
(At frame 7 you can see the ploom of snow, which in this crap picture sequence looks like a ploom of blue, from the slight skid)
I apologize in advance for the horrid images, but it's the best I have. I have been looking for some feedback for a while.
One of the things I THINK will help quite a bit is to not throw my shoulders around so wildly and keep focused on keeping them square with the fall line. I also think the slight A-frame comes from the back of my ski skidding out from under my knee. Any drills, comments, insight would be great.
Thanks in advance.
