"These fat rockered skis carve great on ice."

What do we do when the lift gets to the top?

Wish I had a dime for every time I've seen "skies for sale" instead of "skis for sale"

From my 7-year old granddaughter when she was 5:

Opa, my skis are tired, can we go in?

And from my son when he was four:

Dad, can we go chairlifting today?

"Why can't I ski like I did at the end of the ESA?"
" dude, that was sick"

"woah. they look hot" -on the chairlift ( most people look hot with more than half of their face covered)

"I crashed. Tell me what is wrong with my edge bevel/basegrind/overall tune"

I caught an edge.

Yeah, but why  ?

"I caught an edge" is by far my favorite!

How about "screwed up, had my pressure in the wrong place, or ..."  Catching an edge to me is an excuse, nothing more.

east coasters are better skiers because they ski in worse conditions.  buy some friggin bauer hockey skates.  what you guys do isn't skiing, it's training for actual skiing.  i can't remember the last video i bought that had people shredding boilerplate.

Big powday. "Let's ski some groomers."

You drive 20 miles to the meet place they have 5 miles to drive. You pull in and the phone rings. "I'll be there in 20 minutes." About 2 times and it's I'll see you up there.

Ski pal-"2 turns and your gone, you ski too fast!"

My all time favorite.-The guy that drives like his pants are on fire tailgating passing dangerously you get the picture to the resort and you pull in 3.89654 seconds later. LOSER! Grow-up........oh wait he's around 70.

Personally I say "I caught an edge" all the time when I make a really stupid crash in a place it was unexpected.  I dont think anyone I have ever said it to ever thought I was making an excuse.  I use it whenever I screwed up bad enough to, well, catch an edge, but couldnt exactly tell you what stupidity I performed that lead me to the situation I found myself in.  In other words its an easy way of saying "I screwed up, lets move on, not worth trying to figure out what happened"
