We've had no measurable snowfall of any importance since ...December. While the Midwest route I'm taking has been getting hammered lately, I'm betting that it will be the Storm of the Century here at home for the first time this season while I'm trying to pack the truck next Friday and Saturday.
I'm also betting that I get snowed in at a few places along the way, making a 5 day trip into a 10 day trip. The gates across I-90 in Wyoming and South Dakota will be going down for me. I'd go South, but it doesn't look any better that way, either. I guess I could take the Trans-Canada highway and avoid all snow............hmmmm.......
The Route so far: Leave Sunday morning, Feb. 21......drop down I-87 to Newburgh, NY and take I-80 to Iowa (stopping for a whole day there to visit with friends), then North to Albert Lea, MN to I-90 and straight across to Spokandyland.
Guess the number of days it will take to make this trip, and the places where I'll be sitting in a motel flipping cards into a hat, and I'll send the winner this lovely never-been-worn re-gifted Coors hat and t-shirt (size Large).
