2010 Women's Powder Skis

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice on purchasing women's powder skis.

I am 5ft2, petite and an aggressive, advanced skiier who likes to ski all over the mountain and the occassional backcountry hike. I am looking for a powder ski that can also perform on-piste and moguls.

Any feedback on the merits or downfalls of the following skis would be appreciated:
Line Celebrity
Volkl Aura
Volkl Kiku
Atomic Elysian
Atomic Heaven n Hell
K2 MissBehaved
K2 Payback

(I also like the sound of the Nordica Nemsis however am thinking 161cm will be too long)

Cheers.

I am currently deciding between the Atomic Elysian and the Line celebrity which I hear are both awesome, i haven't heard anything about the other skis you listed though

If the elysian is anything like the Atomic Snoop its a great ski!

I'm not a lady but I have heard the Volkl Kiku is a really great ski. And it is basically the women's version of the Gotama so it must be good!

Thanks for the thoughts. I've heard a lot about Line and Volkl but not much about K2's 2010 women's range. Anyone skiied the MissBehaved?

Bunny,

My wife is 5'6" 130 and skied the Miss Behaved a couple of times and seemed to like them, but she typically likes the softer K2 ski's.

Her powder skis are 162 Pandora which is also pretty soft, great for tree's, bumps, blower and soft groomed.

However, she has been tempted to try the Moment Pika when we go to Mammoth next month. It is a little stiffer than the Pandora and maybe better for the chopped up powder.

hope this helps some

Hi Bunnyofthesnow.  I was wondering if you bought something and what you settled on.  It would be good to know your thoughts on follow up.

I ended up demoing the Payback, Heaven n Hell and the Missbehaved. I found the Payback difficult to turn quickly, I liked the H n H but loved the Missbehaved's as soon as I took my first turn! I ended up getting a pair of the Missbehaved (after trying every ski shop in Jackson and having to have them sent over) and found them great all over the mountain!

This almost sounds like a chairlift chat with Rachel.  She has Missbehaveds now, as well...
