Well it was another 2" Day at the boat.,,,, well, more like 4-6 at the top as you will see.  the trees are really filling in and wea re regularly hitting boot high shots. We dropped in on the "Twister Trees" a nice aspen line about 1000 vert. They start off fairly open, 10' and get progessively tighter and steeper,,,, and deeper. I dropped in on one area that was mid-thigh. The cover was excellent.  Ski-Ra, Greg Merz me and the owner of One Stop Ski shop John pounded that line. It was pretty amazing.

We set up a lap of 2 o'clock trees across to 3 and then the lower shots, back up the sundown lift, over to shadows and skied some really nice lines, Again, the snow was several inches and much more in areas where the wind had blown the sow out of the trees and settle in.

Feb 12th report....

I don't really have any new pics. mainly due to skiing in a suprise stom that rolled in this AM and just puked on us. at least 8" and it's still dumping at 5pm.  I skied a lot off the back side of Sundown into the morningside back area and off the side that dumps in to Wally world. There are no runs into this area so since this is off intermediate terrain, no one reallly goes into it.  Lots of fun rock drops and some nice aspen shots, there was nice steep but short headwall too. The snow there was knee high and above this is no exaggeration or stretch. Sweet drops of 5' into deep pow!  (I'm such a gaper!) there was only locals jumping in so I didn't feel so bad...  after that we were just hitting the trees till 3.

So you that are boat bound are ooking pretty good right now!

I love it when I hear that and watch people leave.  That means more for me.

when are you heading up? I can tell you there was at least a foot on the 12th and as long as you stayed high on the mountain and in the trees, knee-high and mid-thigh shots were to be had.  Which Icelantics?  I would grab the nomads if you have them!!

Headed out Saturday the 20th. We'll be skiing the 21st throught the 24th...four days. Then off to Copper for a couple days. I'm definitely bringing the Nomads. We're all chomping at the bit. Talked to my son yesterday about doing the one day race clinic on Monday. It's a six hour thing and he REALLY wants to do it. That's one more pair of skis to bring along....gates on Gotama's Jr's probably aren't the best. How's the restaurant review coming along?

Right now it's puking here. Probably 8 inches in the last couple hours. Maybe I can push it west?

Hey Finn, for some miraculous reason, I can see photos again with IEx at work, and your trip report is the first thread I've been able to enjoy since the change. Very cool.

Cool!  Is there a problem with them? I post from Flickr.   Glad you liked them

No, I've had problems with all photos not posted from Photobucket. But it's been magically resolved as of today. Lots of stuff to look at now, including thumbnails.
