$400 a nite minimum @ Jay Peak???

Never been to Jay in the Winter so i figured i steal a few days midweek off in February and try the New Hotel at Jay.  Minimum rate for the smallest room, on a Wednesday nite was $400.  No condos available at all.  I am not ignorant of the economics of skiing and resorts, and generally do not complain about prices, but this is seriously Deer Valley type pricing.

Granted it includes a lift ticket so its really closer to $325 a night, but still we are talking about the North East kingdom not Vail/Aspen.  Ive paid and over paid many a night in ski resorts/places that were not worth it -deer valley again-- but am I missing something here.

I was engaged up near jay, and for years there has been some movement to get more folks and families up there but is there no recession and has there been some kind of popularity explosion up near Montgomery Center that im clueless about?

Kbuzz-definitely something fishy afoot here.  Rates are from $109 pp/pn/do in a studio in THL and that includes lift ticket.  All I can imagine here is that you're requesting to come during a holiday week and the price being quoted is including breakfast and dinner.  B/c me at swrightt@jaypeakresort.com and we'll get you figured out and tightened up.

Best

For that much I'd expect a hooker, errr, I mean professional escort, a bottle of Dom, and all you can eat hot wings. Not neccessarily in that order........
