Has anyone ever heard of Salomon "X-Wing Fire" skis?

Sports Authority is having a sale on Salomon "X-wing Fire" skis, but I can't find out anything about them online.  Does anyone know the performance aspects of them?  What year are they?  Are they beginner skis?

I took a peek at these skis in SA last season, and they seemed really, really soft to me. Even worse than the beginner Atomics I bought there a few years ago. I think that they share the thin profile of the "real" XWing skis, but not the construction that gives the main line stiffness.
I'm no ski expert, but I'd say beginner ski, for sure.

It almost sounds like something you'd find served as an appetizer with some ranch sauce.

these were my first skis, i got them last year. I ride expert trails on them doing about 60 mph. The skis are a bit soft for expert trails but its possible and i have skied only 6 times.

Sweet deal!

Personally, I think the SA skis are low quality, low cost, beginner skis.   If you plan on purchasing these, plan on getting only a few years out of them.  Spend a bit more, get many years of enjoyment from your purchase.

I just don't know how to comment on this other than to say I hope I'm never at the same ski area at them same time when you are.
