Anyone watching the X Games today? Looked like Daron was injured pretty bad in Skiercross. He was down and being attended too for quite a while, I'm at work and wasn't able to hear anything.

The guy went down hard on some hard snow.  Injured his hip.  One ski did not come off and torqued a leg pretty strongly.  They carted him off in an ambulance.

He looks like he is gone for the Olympics.

Update, this is the fourth time this has happened, but they are "hopeful that he will be back for the Olympics in two weeks."

USSA Just put out this press release:
Olympian Daron Rahlves (Sugar Bowl, CA) was treated and released from an Aspen hospital Sunday after crashing in the opening heat of the X Games ski cross.

According to U.S. Ski Team Medical Director Richard Quincy, Rahlves was treated for a hip injury and released. He will return home for further treatment and preparation for the Olympics.

Both Rahlves and Casey Puckett (Aspen, CO) are preparing for the Feb. 21 Olympic debut of ski cross at Vancouver's Cypress Mountain.
