another 5-7 on top of the 12-20 from the prior 2 days made for outstanding powder skiing today except for one thing. the high today was -11(started off at - 20) on top with windchills between -40 and -60 degree F. Instant frostbite was a contant concern. With that said for those who could stand the arctic cold it was VERY rewarding, untracked till 4 off the quad not many days you can say that.

1pm ....only my tracks in the woods

remember when its this cold pick a member of the other sex so that you can stay warmer on chairlifts.

Z cruisin the open glade of wind blown powder

windblown powder and jib board equal tip dive

this next picture I nearly lost my right fingers for, I never saw skin turn white so fast...

Found lots of untracked in the wrong side of the notch

the creek crossing at the bottom of the notch, what right with this picture cute snowbird girl having a ball, whats wrong? below zero temps and running water. Dont slip off the log.

zoe had a good time but seriousally needs a freeride/powder board anyone have anything in a 151-154 range?

That's brutally cold Josh, but as usual you had a great time.  I'd like to come up ther eto meet up with you but I don' t think I'll make it that far north this year.

The most interesting thing here is that it looks like it is 20-25 F.

Wow, I thought Hunter was cold today. Those conditions look amazing! I've never skied in cold like that but for conditions like that the temptation would be great.

Were you feeling the full force of the wind where you were skiing?

while riding the lift yes, like I said pic a member of the other sex and curl up and it helps, we may have got more runs in than anyone else today due to that.

but even despite our best effort a couple times we got white skinned including once in the trees while I was taking pictures and had to go inside to warm up. This was the coldest temps/wind I have ever felt personally.
