ROLL CALL Edge Of Never Screening Snowbird Gathering Monday

Bill Kerig will be joining us at the gathering to screen his movie, The Edge of Never.

We have reserved the Summit Room at The Cliffs Lodge from 5:00 - 9:00.  This is on the top floor, down the hall from the Aerie Lounge.  We want to give everyone a chance eat, meet and have a drink after skiing, so feel free to leave some gear in the conference room, and join us in the Aerie Lounge.  I expect we will start the show after 6:00 to give everyone plenty of time.

I'm in.

I assume most have left/have limited net access right now so there aren't many responses.  I'm most likely in depending on whom I'm riding with to and fro the hotel.

I sent out a PM blast with the information. I really don't expect much feedback here going forward.  By having the PMs available, I can quickly reach most participants with online access should anything unexpected come up this week.  I'll have a car and can take a few folks back to the hotel.  I'm sure there will be others.

Ditto here -- I should have a jeep and no one riding with me now, so I should be able to shuttle anyone staying at the ESA.

I'll be there, and should be able to drag 1-4 extra people (depending on how cozy you want to get in the 2nd/3rd row seats) back to the ESA afterwards.  Although there may only be room for one extra pair of skis.

Your'e going

I'm in and probably MattL unless he hitches a ride back down the canyon with someone else.

Don't forget a change of clothes everybody so you don't have to have dinner and see the movie in your ski gear.

The screening was a lot of fun.  We had about 25 bears attend.  We had drinks and dinner in the Aerie Lounge on the 10th floor of the Cliffs, and went down the hall to the Summit conference room.  A couple bears were observed taking advantage of the 10th floor heated pool spa and steam facilities.

Bill Kerig had skied with the expert group in the morning, going on a hike out on Baldy Shoulder.  It was a real treat to meet Bill and here his story in person.  He is a skier first and foremost and his passion really comes through in his book, and the movie Edge of Never.  After the screening, there was an opportunity to buy the book and DVD, and Bill autographed them.   He also donated some DVDs to EpicSki. Several were awarded to participants of the Gathering, and several more will be appearing in some special online events.

Thanks Bill for the memorable evening.
