Skied maybe 6 days.
fresh tune! almost new, new tune much better then when ski was new!
binding mounted to 302 boot sole.
I am just choosing my kastle mx98 over it most of the time, so sending the skinny one to someone who will get better use...
mike_m quoted all the good reviews, it is a GREAT ski!$500.
Peter Keelty: “Expert Skiers”:
The 85 is one of the top introductions for 2010. Rave reviews noted its exceptional versatility, both in terms of terrain and conditions and in terms of suitable skill level. Typical comments: "Held from tip to tail", "very relaxing yet stable and snappy" and "Pick of the shows" and "Great in all conditions." Likely a finalist for Ski of the year (it won!); destined to become a classic like the Intuitive 74 we believe.
I have mentioned many times that in MPO, balance is the key to a ski that can work East to West, and North to South. The fact is that as much as you hear folks blather on about how they want this or that or t'other.......most folks only buy one pair of skis and what they really want is a blend of all things. The Sultan does this as well as any ski I've been on in recent years, and it is an improved replacement for a ski that IMO was one of the best "blenders" of the past decade.
The Sultan a great ski for someone looking for a versatile, mid-width, stable feeling, jack of all trades ski. I have heard nothing but positives from people who have been on it. (Do an advanced search to see his video review.)
