Stowe's deepest day, 2010 (so far)...

Stowe got pummeled by rain on Monday, things refroze yesterday... but it also started snowing. It snowed all night and all morning. The mountain reported 6"-8"... but mid-thigh turns were easy to find, of course so were rock hard ice bumps, but the skiing was stellar. Perfect east coast powder day, a bit of a surprise, no crowds at all, deep turns in the woods and some 'interesting' moments on anything with bumps on it. Very fun morning.

Let's hope the weather starts to cooperate and we can hit our yearly average with a monster second half of the season.

I actually got a little freaked out at times, there were untracked lines where there should not be untracked lines... there was no reason to stray to far off the trails.

Any bindings come in today? I'm hoping the mini-Goats will get their maiden voyage this weekend.

Thanks for the report Whiteroom - so glad to hear tht at least Stowe got over the monsoons quickly - not so for areas south - Sugarbush reporting only 2" and none south of that.  Just like out west, eh?  Note exactly.  The weather patterns are a changin though.
