3pm flight out of Denver airport. Do I have time to ski?

I'll be at Winter Park for a 3 day trip. I will fly out on a Monday at 3pm from Denver International Airport. Do I have time to do 2-3 hours of riding?

If you had a flight leaving Denver at 3pm, and you had to check in a rental car at 1:30pm, where would you ski that morning?

Thanks!

you need to assume that it will take up to 2-2.5hrs in case of traffic to get to DIA (without factoiring in weather delays) ....

That's one vote for "no". Anyone else, or is that the consensus?

I would not chance it. If you miss your flight you might have to spend the night sleeping on the floor in DIA as most flights are packed full. One accident on I-70 would do it.

You won't have much traffic driving into Denver on Monday...but, it takes me about 2 hours to make WP into the west side of Denver without traffic. The airport is on the east side....
So, unfortunately, I'd have to say, no, you don't have enough time...

Is Loveland or A-Basin a shorter drive than WP? Maybe the OP can go ski there for a few hours?

You could probably do it but is it worth the price to ski for an hour or two at the most.

I wouldn't.

Drive time 2.5 hrs or so plus a bit of snow, a traffic jam or an accident , a long line at the car rental lot or a shuttle bus not there when you are, security, check-in time etc etc... factor all those in that's at least another hour or hour and a half, walk to the parking lot @ WP, re-pack your stuff?, fill up with gas or whatever, more time & you're leaving the hill at 11 to allow for it all, including the wait at the window to get your half day refund...

All in all, too much hassle for me.

Oh yes, to get to Loveland or A-basin from WP you turn right when you get to I-70 and travel almost as far as you've travelled from WP.
Denver is left. I don't see any advantage in that option at all

Enjoy your trip in any case. I'm off out to Summit County tomorrow.

Your only choice would be to ski Winter Park or Mary Jane again. But what are you going to get? Two hours maybe? Not worth it for me. I've done it before and it's a pain to have to rush around and constantly keep checking the time. I wouldn't.
