Ok your horrorscope for the week

20JAN02 to 12FEB02
You appear more desirable & can attract new friends...or a lover.
People seem to see you as more attractive or affectionate now.
You feel more sociable & agreeable and at peace with the world.
You are more interested in peace than in conflict or competition.
You wish to avoid controversy so are more willing to compromise.
You may be able to make peace where once there was conflict.
You may act as a go-between to negotiate peace among others.
You prefer pleasure not work and want a holiday or some fun times.

You folks have no idea how honored I was to ski with Bob and Rusty, they are truly the epitomy in skiing, and they could do the mambo and wedeln long before I evere skied with them.

We had such a good time just being with each other. Bob can really do anything that is possible to do on skis and look totally at ease, (only in my dreams).

I am so proud that I could ski with them, both of them young enough to be my sons, and that they indulged me, one who is oxygen deprived at this altitude, and told me how to do railroad tracks. I'm sure that after practicing, by the end of the week, 97% of the time I won't be able to do them, but three percent are just fine

Anyway, Happy Birthday Bob...

Thanks everyone! I had a great day yesterday. Rusty Guy and I skied in the morning at Copper, then visited with Ott and Ann Gangl who are staying Club Med in Copper. Ott came out and joined us in the afternoon for a few runs, and yes, Wigs, he showed us how to wedel (and Mambo)! I got some great video of it, and will put something together to post here when I get a chance. It was beautiful!

Here's proof:

(That's Ott in the middle; I'm on the left, and Rusty is in the bright orange jacket.)

Sure enough, my wife, Susan, orchestrated a surprise party last night, with friends from Copper Mountain and Keystone and Breckenridge. I guess getting older isn't always so bad!

We also got a chance to have dinner with Ott and Ann, along with Mike_M, Ski&Golf, and a few others Sunday evening. It was an evening I will never forget. Meeting Ott and Ann was a privilege I have looked forward to for years. I can only say that Ott is even more entertaining and engaging in real life than he is here on the 'Net. I look forward now to those SUMMER Sigi stories any time now, Ott....

Thanks again everyone--and many happy turns to you all!

Best regards,
Bob Barnes

Happy happy birthday to the most informative member of these Fora.

Amazing how those 20-year-olds can be so wise. Just think, Bob -- next year you can drink legally!

Happy birthday! I could not think of a better way to spend it than be on the slopes!

Hey Gonz--I gave up aging several years ago, by choice. I quit cold turkey--just couldn't see any real future in it! I'll fight it to the death....

Best regards,
Bob Barnes

Yet another belated best wishes to you Bob from Judy (another Houlton, Maine refugee) and me. We became grandparents for the first time on Christmas day.

Happy Birthday, Bob.

So you learned the Mambo? See, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Enjoy skiing. Enjoy life.

I heard the "behind the scenes" story today while skiing copper. Sounds like quite an elaborate production! And it came off well, by the sounds of it.
Hope you got some nice presents...that's the point of birthdays, innit?!
Are there really Sigi stories regarding summertime (skinny dipping in the creek, etc.?). What a gift for your (Gonzo said) twentieth birthday, eh? From that photo, I almost could believe the 20th birthday part.

Best Regards (as they say) and many more happy birthdays.

Add my belated birthday best wishes to the rest. Looks like you all had a great time. Hope you have many more great birthdays.
