I have just joined the forum after accidentally stumble upon this great community. I am a 31-year-old intermediate-advanced snowboarder. I started with skiing about 4 years ago and did change to snowboarding a few years back and never look back!
I am getting comfortable and start doing a little bit of jump but nothing too crazy like what the teen snowboarders do!
One thing I have always wondered, how much longer can I snowboard? I have yet to came across any snowboarder in 50's or 60's (although I am sure there is quite a few out there) The oldest one I have talked to is in his late 40's, just switched to snowboarding a few years ago to connect with his kids! I am not sure whether the reason that we don't see many older snowboards is because the nature of the sport that is kinda risking or is it because snowboarding has been around not very long?
Will you ever switch to skiing when you are older or will you just quit snow sport?
What is the oldest age of a snowboarder you ever came across?
