Need advice: new skis and remount old bindings?

I've been stuck in the east and raising kids for the last ten years and haven't skied since then on my 185 Head Radials w Salomon S647 bindings.  After the first two days out (with both boys) in ten years on rentals, I realized in need new boards.  But have the bindings improved as much as the skis?  Am I risking my knees remounting those bindings on new, much shorter skis?  I ski intermediate with perpetual hopes of becoming a comfortable parallel skier.

No shop will touch those bindings as they're no longer indemnified.

All plastics are subject to fatigue and deterioration over time, even without use, thus these are old enough that chances of them failing on you are pretty good.

Get some new ones!
