So, Im skiing this weekend, , and my mind keeps turning back to this forum, and what had been discussed. all the "fore/aft" threads, the pole planting discussions, the hotly debated "where the turn starts" issue, and I ended up experimenting alot more, playing with different methods, etc. I had alot of "OOHH, thatswhat they mean..." moments.

it was cool. it was like I had a summer-long private...THANKS guys!!!!!

This is me:
-the winterlong permagrin has set in....

Is this what we kept calling "guided discovery learning"?

Glad you are progressing and that we were able to inspire some self teaching!

Hey--now I'm happy! That's great, Linda. If all these discussions cause anyone to go out and experiment a little, they are worth it!

That's what this is all about. The only right answer to all these questions is--go try it! If it's a new move, master it. It may not be "The Way," but throw it into your bag and let it out whenever you want--or need--it!

Let us know if you come up with any new revelations, or questions!

Best regards,
Bob Barnes

the more I read this part of the forum, the more I realize that there really is no "The Way." I think its more like "The WayS"

anyway, i learn better by reading, and I am able to recall what Ive read when I get into that situation. so this is just GREAT for me.

Im sure I will have alot of questions and observations as I go on, right now its all about having FUN!!!

Right on Linda!! I have to live vicariously through you people who are skiing already, as there isn't even a single patch of snow here yet. Too warm to even make it. :

I can't wait to try some of this stuff out too. I have a feeling (being still fairly new) that the info here will prove to be invaluable. Good on ya!
