Any advice on which skis are the best choice? Should I be looking at any other skis?
There are a lot of "depends" to the question.
Racing: GS or Slalom? Two different skis.
Recreational: cruising, crud, bumps, powder?
Location: Mostly small hill or big mountain?
There are lots of folks on this website that can help you more than I can. Perhaps they can post here when you give more details. Plus, I'm sure they will have more questions. To give you an idea, in general terms a GS Race ski is for GS racing and big turn cruising. A Slalom Race is for Slalom racing and short carved turns on the groomed runs. An All-Mountain can do a bit of everything but he won't be as fast in the race course. For example, I do masters racing and I've raced this year and cruised on the 2010 Atomic D2 VR Sport and liked it for both. It's rated as a Piste ski and falls between a Race ski (not FIS Race, just Race) and an All-Mountain. They are easier for me to work than the Race skis and they are faster than my All-Mountains.
Hope that helps a bit and some others here can help you more than I can.
