Just returned, great area, super mature, polite town. Wish the rest of the USA were similar. BUT WHERE ARE THE CRUISING runs for carving???
Everything I saw on the big mnt. was steep.

The mountain is steep. Even the green runs below Seattle Ridge would be blue anywhere else. Those would be the closest thing to an easy cruising run that you'll find there. Many of the blue runs would be black most other places. Not a great place to bring beginners. But other than that, what a wonderful place. Have to put a return trip to there on my bucket list.

ummmm pretty sure most people who can ski have no problem carving the steep groomers at sun Valley.

Its not that you cant carve the steeper groomers at Sun Valley, its that you cant carve and sun valley proves it!

get better and or get more stable skis.

From what I hear Sun Valley is the place to go to ski FAST.!!!

Great groomers to let the rockets run.

Lots of carving on Baldy but you had better be moving; many very good, fast skiers(some also that are fast but not so good.)
If you're not, you best stay on lower Warm Springs, Seattle Ridge, or lower River Run. If those still don't work, go over to Dollar Mountain.
With snow, there is also a lot of great tree and powder skiing; some of which is now much more exposed following the fire.

If you want groomed cruisers, SV is perfect. No run-out and a pretty constant pitch. Sounds like you'd be happier at Deer Valley, where they groom almost everything (my least favorite mountain ever!).

This is a kinda "Trip Report"that would never be admitted @ TGR. =)

What is all this about. I could post that kind of reports every day.

Ya know guys I've just returned from the fucking Jackson Hole, great area but where are all the fucking groomers?

I've just returned from Silverton, well, it's much worse as an area and still no groomers anywhere.

Oh, thank you very much, dear apeyros for your TRs with fantastic photos, videos and super inside, you made my day!!!
