I wish I had known

Thread Starter
I wish I had known that once I reached a certain level of ability I could ski very well, with poorly fitting boots; even after they'd been screwed up by incompetent bootfitters. If I'd known, I would not have thrown away so much money with those parasites.

On the positive side, I didn't listen to self-serving advice from any  doctors, and my foot problem got better without any injections or surgery. And I saw the extreme level of incompetence shown by the instructors at my local ski area, so I never threw away any money learning to do the wrong things from them.
I guess I came out a bit ahead. Still, I not only threw away money with Surefoot and others, but felt polluted by contact with their vile money-grubbing personalities... how does one ever feel clean after dealing with people like that?

Incompetent, self-serving boot fitters, doctors, and ski instructors can really bum you out.  Glad I don't live in Queens.

my conclusions are the opposite, so I'm guessing that's your form of sarcastic humor. without the little emoticons it's hard to figure humor on a board.

And my good fellow, having reached that lofty pinnacle; the self made  man tugging on his own bootstraps....

Just what does, the epitome of mediocrity look like from way up there?

The rest of the gentle readers have been longing for the answer.

what /\ said
what /\/\ said and
what /\/\/\ said!

all more eloquently than I!

If VA's campaign for competent smilys goes well, I can edit this with something similar to a smily faced bronx cheer!

Surefoot

Twenty-five years and nearly a half a million pairs of ski boots later, we're confident that we know how to fit ski boots better than anyone on the planet. So we back that up with what is arguably the most comprehensive guarantee in the business-our "heel-to-toe 100% guarantee," which is simply this:

"Surefoot wants to provide you, our valued customers, with the best fitting, best performing ski boots possible. If for any reason or at any time you are dissatisfied with the fit of your Surefoot custom ski boots, please return them to a Surefoot location where we will repair or replace them at our discretion and at no expense to you. This guarantee does not cover the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use."

There just isn't a better guarantee anywhere, which means you can purchase and enjoy your Surefoot custom boots with total confidence.

Confused??? What's the problem?

Burn yourself with fire, that'll clean you right-up. Fire sanitizes.

Glad to hear your toe is better.

When "100% guarantee"  means "Repair or replace at our discretion at no cost to you" instead of "Your money back if not satisfied", I smell a rat.

Rats are unclean.

Fire sanitizes.

Desire to feel clean = desire to be sanitary.

solution = FIRE.
