1) a viewfinder
2) high quality optical image stabilization
3) small size, to fit inside of a ski jacket pocket. I want to be able to ski with it and pull it out when necessary, but not find it cumbersome when I am skiing.
It seems that the only cameras with viewfinders these days are those that are either too large (a prosumer type camcorder) or the older, super cheap camcorders with the cheap digital image stabilization. I know there must be some decently sized camcorder on the market with OIS and a viewfinder. NOS is fine too; it doesn't have to be this year's model. Budget it up to $800 or so.
