Giro slalom chin bar

Last night my son broke the chin bar on his Giro helmet on a gate. We both have Giro helmets  because they are the only ones that fit our oblong heads. But now I dont trust the plastic chin bar. Does anyone know if there is a metal chin bar that fits Giro helmets?

Don't know about Giro Richr but I had te same issue with the bar on my briko slalom helmet.  The plastic was actually pretty flimsy.  i ended up modifying a Carrera bar I had sitting around and fitted it.  No problems since.

As a followup, I found a Boeri metal chin guard would fit with just a little bit of bending.
