Handedness and footedness (favoring of either) do not necessarily go hand/foot of a side togther.
Lots of right-handed folks favor their left foot and lots of left-handed folks favor their right foot.
None of us is totally symetrical--we all favor (prefer to stand on) one foot more than the other. If a turn to the left is the easiest, you generally favor your right foot for bearing weight. That makes it more difficult to turn right because your right foot does not want to give up control.
The more difficult the conditions (steepness, snow circumstance, etc.), the more your right foot won't want to give up control. It's a circumstance you have to train yourself to overcome.
