Unfortunately, I have. I recently made a purchase, and so far it's been a very frustrating experience. I bought a pair of Gore-tex pants, listed as "excellent" condition with no damage but little specks on the seat.
Well, they showed up, and the little specks are really only the beginning of wear issues. Frayed edges, stains, etc...not to mention smelling like death. Now, I feel that I paid a price far below retail, but I'm very surprised to see a Backcountry run affiliate like this, frankly, run so poorly.
The bigger issue is the lack of response I've gotten so far to my enquiry. I was offered a $10 credit for the "misunderstanding", which is pretty much a slap in the face for a high end purchase like this. This came nearly 24 hours after my submission to "customer service" and it's been over 24 now and I've received no response. The amount of money myself and my family spend on this family of sites (Tramdock, SAC, BC.com, etc) is pretty substantial, and I would hope that they would treat geartrade and it's customers a little better. If they can't service all the sites they launch and customers they serve, they need to hire more help or scale back on the operation.
Anyone else have a simiilar experience? Hopefully, this is an isolated incident.
