If you ever get to JH, look up Stephen and try to make a run or 2 with his family.

Next week, a group of bears will be in JH for the 3rd year. At lunch two years ago, there was a family sitting next to us celebrating a 40th b-day for their Dad. Finndog, somehow, recognized Stephen as an epic poster and started a conversation. A little later, while freeskiing alone, I was getting on the Gondola and team McDonald was right behind me and invited me to come along. It was the start of a continuing friendship that I value.

If you ski with his two older children, you won't see them much as they are just way better. His two younger daughters are a special treat to watch on the mountain.

He's also the man for help with ski boots. Right at the base of the mountain. He did my new Intuition liners I love them.

See ya Sunday Stephan!!!!

Good to see Bears doing well and getting recognition for making a living out of their passion for this lifestyle.  Good people; good family.

custom footbeds, as provided by a skilled person like Stephen, is the best equiptment upgrade you can buy.

I'm skiing on Stephans footbed this year.  Its really great!  I also had him mold me an Intuition liner and have had zero boot problems this year.  So far this year I have missed less than five days, so I spend a lot of time in my boots.

Looking forward to skiing with the Gang. Thanks for the kind words. I didn't want to send it to Finn- I knew he would post it! The forecast is calling for snow this week. It was a tougher day @ the Village- flat light and firmer conditions ruled the day.

That looks a little bit like my foot and underwear.  Could I be that "Lucky Customer"?

Stephen is a great bootfitter and a better father and person. See you Sunday.

Speaking of Stephen as a father, I just wanted to bump this thread because maybe it didn't get enough play as it appeared last spring after most people had quit skiing.

How unbelievably cool is that???

Stephen, are some or all of the kids on track to hit 100 this year?

Stephen, happy to hear that you're getting famous!    I regularly use the line "Stephen McDonald fitted me for these boots and insoles" with the ladies in the lift line.    Strangely enough it has not been too successful thus far - perhaps the publication of this article will start changing things   ;)

Thanks for the Kudos. I am unaware of the exact days, but a few days ago. Eden was in the lead with 35 days. (Gasp!). Life requires daily management and sometimes duty calls- then, me no ski.

Ask him what his personal "pick up line" method was when he met Christy (Mrs. SIJ). I'd like to ski with her - a lot. Just ski guys, just ski!

That ROCKS!  I've always liked SIJ and his posts, family photos, Halloween, etc..

At the risk of sounding completely naive, I didn't know that they did that for snowboard boots.  Has anyone had their snowboard boots fitted?

Bump for a good guy.

Helped me out enthusiastically last year when one of my buckles went "ping" into the woods.
