I will be patrolling at B'east on Thursday.
Conditions: They did pick up 10-12 inches over two days of dense, base building snow (which was exactly what they needed). In addition to that, they really took advantage of the 80 plus straight hours of high quality snowmaking temps and blasted the heck out of Flying Cloud (which opened today), Comp, Upper Wardance, Minnie Dole, a bunch of the cross overs, and the Park area.
So far today, we have had no rain (!!!) or mixed precip, just 2 inches of wet snow.
I don't know what this afternoon and tonight will bring, but right now the sun is shining (skiing is probably great right now!!). Backside of this weather event will be cold and windy on wednesday (which will firm things up). Thursday will be cold, with a chance of snow. Figure you'll be two days into grooming after the weather event (plus, I suspect there will be some snow making as well) surface conditions and available terrain will both be pretty good (and they won't be any better anywhere south of Stowe as the whole Northeast is getting the same weather pattern).
Thursday should be a pretty good day of skiing. Weekend looks to be real good as some snow and good temps are in the forecast.
Hey Rather Play...Todd is coming up with the Family in a few weeks to ski (though, he won't ski!)-if you ever get up this way let me know!
