Drive further, pay more and stand in line for 30 minutes. I dare you to report back on ANY day, including President's Day, standing in line for more than a few short minutes at the B-East.
Well, the "line longer than a few short minutes" finally happened.
For those unfamiliar with B-East, they have two triples that run to the summit. And on Saturday, one of them broke down for about half the day. With only one chair running to get to the summit -- trust me, there was a line. I was skiing solo, so I was riding the singles line, which progressed fairly quickly. Once they got both chairlifts going again, it was (almost) ski-right-on. Snow remained great all day Saturday. I bumped into @Liam on Liftline.
Sunday was a bit firmer, although still really nice. The wind was blasting to the point that I had to skate downhill at times just to move, but the wind died down before too long. Took a fun groomer cruiser with @SkiMangoJazz.
First time I've skied B'East when it was fully open. Found lots of really fun terrain. I tagged a few rocks, but nothing too hard. Looks like a little more snow is on the way this week, so the hill will hopefully remain in great shape for a while yet.
