Skis for a light small woman...

Hello All!

I am looking for a pair of skis for my girlfriend... She is 5'4" at about 110-115lbs.
She skis blues and blacks.  She stays on the groomers for 90 percent of the time.
She had a pair of rossingol saphir lx in the 146cm.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

 Hi -

I can't recommend Dynastar Exclusiv for women highly enough. Put my wife (and now friends' wives) on them and their skiing leapt up a level. They are ramped forward on the binding especially for female balance point.

My wife has the Dynastar Exclusiv Active in 148 - there are a bunch of Dynastar Exclusive's sensations or older Exclusive 8or9's on eBay and ski sites for cheap prices.

My wife is a little smaller than your GF. She demoed a ton of stuff two years ago and ended up with Fischer Breeze 150s. She's been very happy with them.

Has she tried the Bio-Metric Sols?

You might consider the Blizzard Viva 7.6 too, it is getting great reviews too.

No she has not tried the sols...
We really like the reviews for the blizzard Viva, but they are almost twice as expensive as the fischer.
I am getting a blizzard magnum 8.7 for myself :)

So.....you get the Blizzards, but they're too expensive for her????? Just kidding.

Ski selection is so personal! What one peson likes another may hate. Treat her to a day of demoing somewhere so she can pick the ski that works the best for HER.

I recently purchased the Fisher Vision Vapors in 150 cm for my 5' 2"/ 105 lb teenage daughter. Although she has been skiing for 10 yrs+, these were her first adult skis.  She immediatly loved the looks of the skis, and after 2 days on them she also loves how they ski.  Your girlfriend would probably be fine with either the 150 or 155.  However, if she liked the way her 146 cms skied, you may want to go 150.  And as others have said, if possible, it's best to demo.
