Buying Boots Online

Thread Starter
I was going to buy a complete ski package (skis, boots, bindings, poles) online but, am worried about the boots being right for my feet.  The boots in question that come with the package are the Tecnica Vento 70 ski boots.  I am an intermediate skier, 5'10" 190 lbs.  My feet are average/normal but, just a little on the wide side.  Is it ok to just measure my feet and go with the appropriate size or, are these boots something I have to make sure fit in person?  Thanks.

vento 70 is a pretty roomy boot and SOFT.  IMHO anything under a 100 flex is not going to  be a good buy for anyone over 150 lbs.  I think you will regret it if you get it.

Taoscowboy is right, that boot will be far to soft to ski with enough rebound to support your body weight.  You also will not be able to shell fit the boot till you get it in hand---can you return it if it is too big?  read about shell fitting in the wiki at the top of "Ask the boot guy's".  Buying boots on the internet will almost always be a mistake.
