Ski poles and trunk

Quick quesiton. Is it safe to keep ski poles and ski boots in my trunk? I live in massachusetts.

Assuming you're not an elephant, yes.

At least so long as you don't live in Massachusetts. Oh, wait ....

Slightly more informative postscript:

While leaving your boots in your trunk won't hurt them, cold boots are ... well, they're cold. Hard to put on too. I generally like to carry and keep my boots in a climate in which I would myself be comfortable.

As for your poles: let 'em get cold. I don't care. Unless, of course, they have flasks in the handles, in which case it depends entirely on the proof of what's in the flasks.
