Anyone replaced the padding on their goggles?

I have a pair of uvexes with my prescription in them, but the padding is almost completely gone. Expensive to replace the goggles this season.  Anyone tried to replace the padding on any brand?

this came up here once and weather stripping was suggested and then rejected as possibly allergenic with skin. the adhesive part doesn't touch the skin, so you could do that yourself with some form of contact cement. For the foam, perhaps medical supply on the net, foam used to pad casts and splints perhaps. good luck.

Can you buy a identical pair of non RX and switch the lens around?

Try contacting the manufacturer - the foam went on my 8 year old A-frames. I phoned Oakley and they replaced the goggle (still kept my old lenses)

Interesting, because Smith was not as helpful. I'm surprised. I always hang my goggles up to dry out after skiing. they inferred that I had abused the goggles and let it go at that. good for Oakley.

Might wanna check out the soft..but slightly more dense foam(3/8"..) (than the normal goggle stuff..hence holds its shape), that www.kayakoutfitting.com/kobuild1/neo.html sells...fwiw.   Epoxy works well with the stuff.  Just my own op, but I think it seals the air in/out a lot better than the stock foam..at least at the bottom.  Think one might want some ventilation at the top & sides?.....

Thanks all.  I'll try uvex first.  But the adhesive backed foam might work.
