4 days in Val Gardena info needed

Hello

I am off to Val Gardena for my usual post ISPO Ski Show trip. Never been to Val Gardena and was looking for suggestions on the best village in the valley to stay ( most shops, restaurants, clubs etc. ) Selva? Ortisei? S. Chritina?

Also looking for recommendations on a nice lodge for Feb 11-14. In town and near lifts. We will have a car.

Any other ideas would be great....

Thanks!

Loved Selva... We stayed twice, once about a block from the main gondola at Hotel Linder and the second time at the Acadia Hotel.  Acadia was literally ski in ski out, right next to the kiddie slopes - so you had to pony lift it up then ski down and around to the gondola base.   Acadia was close to several outdoor bars for an after ski drink or two.   Both had great food and very nice rooms.   We preferred Selva over St. Christina and Ortesi.  However both of those towns were nice as well...perhaps a little smaller than Selva.  More lodging options in Selva.  A few restaurants in each, however given that you will eat breakfast and dinner in your hotel (probably) restaurants may not be an issue.  You are going same time we went....snow conditions were very good, a bit icy at times (the usual in Europe) and the slopes weren't too busy. Enjoy!

Definitely Selva is the better option, since is directly on the "SellaRonda", also know as the "four passes tour", the loop of runs and lifts that circles the Sella massif.
But form there you can equally easily go and ski St. Cristina and ortisei either on the side of the Saslong (the december DH race track) or the Seceda.
So, you'd have more options in Selva and save time if you want to ski the others area (if in Ortisei you'd have ot first go to St. Cristina or selva, of course on skis, and then enter "the loop" from there)

And check point 4. It's direclty between Selva and St. Cristina. Ortisei (out of the map) is indicated as being further "down" the valley.
So, since you have 4 days, better save precious transfer time and take the ski in/ski out offer of Selva or (in the worst case) St. Cristina.
Of course in Ortisei there is the possibility that prices would be a bit cheaper, but I'm not so sure...
