Which lenght for K2 Darkside

Hi!
I am new to this forum. Searched a bit to see if I could find the answer to my question. Did find lot of information but stil am not sure.

I want to buy the K2 Darkside ski. As I live in Europe where we do not have the kind of powder I experienced in Utah I do not want to turn for advise to a shop here. And yes, I will ski the ski in Utah, so it is meant for those conditions :-)

My "data":
Lenght: 180cm (5'11")
Weight: 80kg (176lbs)
Level: Experienced (can ski confident off-piste all type of terrain with quite some speed).

Should I get the 188 version or the 181?
I do have a second pair of ski's for non-powder days (K2 Xplorer 177cm) which I love.

Any advise is welcome!

Thanks and have a great 2010!!!

Demo both sizes, and see which ones you like better!!!

181, but try something more rockered first  (hellbent, pontoon)

the darkside is  a stiff ski, and takes some speed, technique, or weight to move it around

@mntlion: Would you advise the Hellbent or the Pontoon? I tend more towards the Hellbent because you can "carve" them to the lift if needed, right?
Same question; 179 or 189cm?

Thanks!

And happy new-year!!!! (which it already is her in Europe)

Would love to but probibly will go for buying through the internet. As this is cheaper. Want to have them delivered at the Hotel so I only have them to carry back to Europe :-)

189 hellbent

the rocker and twin make it ski VERY short, has positive sidecut still.

Ordered the 189 hellbent with Marker Free M11. Delivered at my door for 499,99euro ($669.14).

Thanks for the advise!
