a buddy of mine who lives on the east coast and i (on the west coast) were planning on meeting somewhere in the middle for a few days skiing this year. unfortunately, as of two weeks ago i'm on the sidelines, back (optimistically) early march or (pessimistically) early april, so we're now looking at a much later date than originally planned.
i was originally thinking about SLC as a destination, probably start at snowbird and possibly hit some of the others depending on mood and conditions. however, we're pretty open to where to go so long as it's easily accessible so we can make the most of the trip.
can anybody comment on where we'd find good skiing in march/april in the rockies/SLC/CO/WY/etc? is snowbird still a good choice? it's been years since i've skied in the rockies. the best trip i've ever done was big sky in the spring, but it's hardly "accessible"! (plus i was 15 years old, so i may be remembering it through rose-colored glasses :)
