Hi,
Does anyone know of a online resource for base edge \ side edge angles?  I'm currently after information for 2010 model K2 Juvy skis' that I've been asked to sharpen and wax in mid January. Thanks

I'd first goto K2's website. Then Tognar.com (Tognar Toolworks). They have a listing in their catalog and I would guess online, too. Failing that, I would go 1 deg base/2deg side, or 0.5 deg base/3 deg side.

I was thinking a  1 base - 2 side.
According to the k2ski site the general setting is:-  1 deg base edge and 1.5 degree side edge.

I have, so far, been unable to find a specific reference to this model of ski though.

I hate to say this, but first you have to decide the purpose of the skis.  Is your Juvy a park, pipe or overall mountain ski?  A SL ski could have a flat or .5 degrees base with a 3 degree side edge.  An all purpose ski could have a 1 degree base with a 2-3 degree side edge.  A park ski?  Some people really bevel the bottoms because nobody is carving in the park. They don't want to catch an edge.  The half pipe?  Catching an edge isn't a good thing there.   Powder?  Who cares!  You just want to be able to get down the front side when your legs are spent.  A 1 degree base and 2-3 degree side edge works OK for powder skis, but some people are more aggressive with the base edge.

Realistically, these are kids fun skis. They will have to do a bit of everything, including ski school. So, from what I have read, a 1:2 angle should accomplish that.  I'll make a not of the other optons, i'm certain it will come in usefull. Thanks
