Snowfun do you ever ski east coast? when you do why dont you come show me a so called expert how good of western skier you are.
Umm, where exactly was it that you saw me describe myself as a "western expert".
Reading comprehension appears to be a challenge for you - I said "I've met MANY who describe themselves as "advanced experts" from the least coast who come home with their tails between their legs after seeing what expert terrain is REALLY like,"
now - you allege to have much experience in UT, sooooo, how many self described "experts" have you seen flailing even around Mineral Basin when there's 3 feet of fresh? I've seen plenty, including me for the first few years I went after it. Are there great NE skiers - you bet - there's also the majority who think that they can do Ovation or some sickly berm at Okemo that's rated black that they have the skilz.
I belonged to a couple of ski clubs for many years in the NE, and can remember MANY club "experts" who couldn't handle that nasty powder, or those "frighteningly steep black (and blues), or those way wide skis, or those gnarly (Steamboat
) glades, and so on and so on.
And I love those that can slide down boilerplate and consider themselves "core". Yeah, you can do boilerplate at Stowe, that means exactly what when you're standing at the top of Couloir Extreme or in the Palisades saying "well, if I can do ice and crap conditions at Stowe....gawd
Oh yeah, I have a little over 40 YEARS of least coast experience (you?), and the last time I skied there was 10 days ago.
Oh - and is that a ski-off challenge - what are you - Epic's version of Highway Star? Pathetic.
