Reading an interesting clip on waxing. Written by a world cup tech. He suggested that, to combat edge burn, that before applying the wax for the day, you should drip a narrow bead of hard wax (toko blue or equivalent) down the inside edge of the ski just under the binding and a little past, then iron this in. Then go ahead and wax as you would ordinarily. The extra hard stuff on the edge should help strength the edge where the burn usually occurs.

He also said that you should not apply the black graphite wax alone, but that it should always be combined with another wax. I don't know why.
