Tried the new skis on Christmas Eve; Stratton, typical Eastern hardpack, 12 runs; blues, blacks, double blacks, (for Stratton mind you). My stats: 63 yo, 164 lbs, advanced skier, (47 yrs). Skis 164 cm.

Great edge grip, able to do GS carves and quick slalom-type turns. While not twichy in the least, I found that you have to ski them, or an edge catch is a real possibliity. No big deal.

I was replacing Nordica Nitrous, ('09), that I never really warmed up to. After one day, I can say that I really like the Atomics much more that my Nitrous'.

IMHO, a great ski for the east.
