Cheapest lodgiing near Sugarbush?

Hi everyone,

Haven't been skiing at a 'real' resort since 4 years ago, and I'm heading to Sugarbush this Tuesday and Wednesday - very excited.

Any recommendations on where to stay? We're a couple of college students, so we're on a pretty tight budget. Close to the mountain is obviously important, but if we need to drive a little bit, that's ok. I don't know if this is way off the mark, but it would be great to pay less than $50 each per night (we'll share a room)

Recommendations?

Thanks

This week is a holiday week, most of the lodging is booked up and the prices are the highest of the season. Check Hyde-Away, Golden Lion, Inn at the Mad River Barn, Powderhound or Lareau Farm Inn. Contact info at www.madrivervalley.com

Thanks for the reply - my bro unfortunately just bailed on me, so I'll have to keep those places in mind for a future trip...

Cheers

The Ski Market trips are a good deal. They usually do one day here at the Bush and one day up at Stowe.

JHrefugee what's that new euro-style hostel called? That has to be one of the cheaper places to stay.

The Hostel in Warren, VT is called Hostel Tevere. I'm staying there this week.  It's on RT 100, a few hundred feet south of Sugarbush access road.  Clean, convenient, cheap, esp for singles - $35 high season.

I'd like to hear a report on Hostel Tevere.  It sounds pretty good.  The crowd who would stay there is probably down to earth, skiers at heart.
